The new 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro released this June boast some really impressive performance despite the declining enthusiasm in tablets.
As most of us know, Apple never states how much memory they put in their iPads. So the guys at geekbench.com, a hardware performance testing site, have done the dirty work for us to reveal that the new iPad Pros have memory sizes of 4GB.
And even though there other tablets out there which even have 6-8GB of memory, none have the “processing punch” as Apple’s offering. This is due Apple’s highly optimized hardware (a 4GB memory paired with a super fast A10X 2.38GHz processor) which is touted to be almost as fast as the MacBook Pro. The camera too has been upgraded to same as you find on the iPhone 7, having a 7-megapixel and 12-megapixel front and back camera.
Once upon a time, tablets were expected to drive laptops to extinction. But apparently that doomsday is long in coming. Can the new iPad Pros turn situations around for the tablet market? It doesn’t seem so ……. yet.
