Lamborghini and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have collaborated to create a revolutionary electric car that can “detect and repair cracks in its body work” by itself.
Called the Terzo Millennio (which is Italian for third millennium), this car, with the aid of sensor, fills the detected cracks with nanotubes to prevent further spreading. Also, unlike most electric cars, the Terzo Millennio is powered with supercapacitors rather than conventional batteries. Each of the four wheel, too, are seperately powered by an integrated electric engine.
However, being a concept car, we’re not sure if the Terzo Millennio (or another car based on this concept) will ever enter into mass production.
